I'm sending out the 'Is this normal' question...
She has been kicking SOO HARD lately. She is pretty mello all day, moving around a bit but mostly just readjusting and stretching out, I think. But then at night she has these freak out sessions where it feels like she is starring in her first kungfu movie. They used to be quite sporadic and short; about 10 seconds to a minute but now they go on for 10 minutes sometimes. In fact, she even woke me up last night she was kicking so hard. I really don't think she likes it in there very much, or else is preparing for a carreer in TaiBo or kick boxing. Generally, I feel she's gotten so angular. Sometimes I am round, but other times there is a definate triangle quality to my belly.
Tell me I'm normal!!

LOL! I already answered you, but I just wanted to say I'M SO EXCITED TO MEET YOUR DAUGHTER!
And the worry has only just begun. ;)

Hi! I've been reading your blog for a few months, but haven't commented yet. I know Becky (of grrrlmeetsworld), but hers is not the blog I found yours through.
Excessive movement is normal, don't worry -- and some kids are worse than others. I worked from home for my dad (who is a lawyer) when I was having my second child and one day I was sitting in bed with a dictaphone on my belly and the baby kicked it right off! And with our daughter we had company over and binged on junk food and were watching a movie. About halfway through the movie I felt like I was in a sugar coma and about 20 minutes after that, the baby just starting going in my belly -- I felt like every limb was moving really rapidly. I thought, "the poor thing, if the sugar is making ME feel like this, how must the baby be feeling?!"
Anyway. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
Yup, very normal. Jared would often just choose one body part to flail - generally the left leg. I know that was what it was, because he still does that same kicking/stomping movement now!
Or the awesome and yet weird feeling of an elbow or knee sliding across your belly - that one was always psycho for me.
And yeah, I think night is generally the most active time for babies, because during the day they are lulled to sleep by your movements. By the way, Lindsi Traill is pregnant!!
So normal. When my sister and I were in Saskatoon in August, she was about 34 weeks, and the baby started moving like crazy. She couldn't sleep for three days, she even went to the hospital to get checked just in case. The little gaffer is running out of room, that's all.
karen:) (tim's sister)
i have no experience with babies moving inside me, so i can't help you here...
allison, do you have lindsi's email addy?
Sometimes I look at the babies sleeping in the hospital, and they squirm so much, and I think "no wonder it seems like they move so much inside you!"
Hi,
With both my boys it seamed that the moved sooooo much more at night. I think that they moved around during the day too, but I was busy and active and didn't have time to notice it, but once I relaxed, they got very active. It is very normal. It gets creapy when they streach out one leg and you can see the foot and toes through your belly, but it is neat too.
