Nevada has been growing a lot lately and that means outgrowing in some areas. We finally decided to go looking for nursing bras. We weren't sure how tough it would be...you see, asian women have smaller breasts so bras don't always fit properly on foreigners. We were told that SOGO (a major department store) would be a good place to check out. The women's underwear floor is convieniently also the baby/kid's stuff floor. We walked through the underwear section and as it merged with the baby section there were a few maternity underwear shops. Perfect, that was easy. We quickly spotted the nursing bras with the clips. One of the shop ladies started to help us immediately, she grabbed a measuring tape and sort of without asking whipped it around Nevada's chest and determined that she was an E 80. They use different sizing....centimeters I think. Then she showed us what styles that had in Nevada's size. Most of them had this cheesy lace that I didn'tlike and looked old ladyish but when in Rome. Nevada took a couple to try on. Just as she started to change the lady knocked and entered the changeroom in one move. She "helped" Nevada and began to praise the fit of the bra she had picked out. I was close by trying to translate between the two and was mostly successful. Nevada decided on one bra that had a little but of lace but felt comfortable and seemed to be the most maneuverable for nursing. It was a fun adventure!
As we walked around the baby floor we also found that we could get a lot of stuff. We weren't sure how easy or difficult it would be to find things we needed but it was mostly all there. The prices were similar to home or slightly more expensive but no worries, God will provide. Another successful day and another item checked off on the to-do list.

You're lucky you're only just now buying new bras. I had to buy a couple only a few months into this. I have a feeling I'll be buying some more in the near future, too.

congrats on the little one on the way, nevada i found your site through dr beres and funny enough i'm pretty sure you are the same nevada that was in my bible and film class at u of s.
my only comment on the nursing bras - you've definately purchased one of the hottest nursing bras i've ever seen. here it's cotton white, ugly, boxed and severly unflattering. way to go!

I just talked to Gabrielle about this post and she thinks you are lucky to be able find nursing bras that are not white cotton with lots of padding and gross looking. She was knd of excited that the bra had lace on it actually. Anyway, if you need to order anything online and it's in the states, just let us know, it mught be cheaper for me to ship it to you, I'm doing that for Gab already.
